A Transect for Trelowarren, 2019 ongoing
A Transect for Trelowarren draws a line on a map, connecting one institution to another; the Environment and Sustainability Institute at the University of Exeter to the Trelowarren Estate on the Lizard Peninsula, which is in the early stages of a re/wilding program.
During my summer long residency, I walked and talked the transect into being in collaboration with a transdisciplinary team of researchers from the ESI, comprised of ecologists, geologists, cultural geographers and environmental scientists. The structure houses an evolving archive of materials of these encounters and research.
This work seeks to cut through Cornwall, through the scientific method and through institutions, with the aim of contributing to an ongoing conversation around conservation and transdisciplinarity.
